The Montreal Heart Institute expansion project is implemented in a hybrid form of construction management where, in addition to the builder mandate, we will act as building experts and participate in the optimization of the construction plans and specifications, the planning of all the works and the preparation of tender documents. The project consists in the modernization of the intensive care units, a new emergency room, and the consolidation of ambulatory activities. The pavilion currently housing the emergency will receive 3 additional storeys to welcome a simulation laboratory and a 220 seats auditorium which allows for the live broadcast of interventions for the benefit of the 700 students attending the MHI each year. Two new intensive care units will also be fitted out. The number of individual bedrooms will rise from 20 to 110, and a new pavilion with underground parking will be built to regroup the ambulatory units.
