Major Milestone
A major milestone has recently been reached at the Monde-Uni Housing Cooperative project, an affordable housing development being delivered under the Société d’habitation du Québec’s (SHQ) Affordable Housing Program (PHAQ). This initiative supports the development of affordable rental housing for low- and moderate-income households, as well as individuals with specific housing needs.
In just three days, all 26 modular housing units were successfully installed at the Acadie site. This significant achievement highlights the efficiency, coordination, and expertise of the teams involved.
Delivered by the Magil–Tisseur consortium in partnership with Bonneville, the manufacturer of the modular units, the project showcases the full potential of modular construction. By combining off-site manufacturing with rapid on-site installation, this approach helps address urgent housing needs while maintaining high standards of quality for future residents.
