MAJOR MILESTONE | Modular Unit Iles Courcelles Project
Les Îles Courcelles: A Major Milestone with the Installation of Prefabricated Modules
Les Îles Courcelles is taking shape in Dorval as prefabricated modules are installed—a key milestone in the construction of this new building featuring 82 affordable and subsidized rental units for independent adults aged 55 and over.
Magil, in collaboration with Tisseur, was awarded the design-build mandate for this project on behalf of the Office municipal d’habitation de Montréal (OMHM), working alongside the City of Dorval.
The four-storey building will include shared spaces that encourage community life, a landscaped courtyard and underground parking incorporating sustainable mobility features. Future residents will also benefit from nearby shops, health services, recreational facilities and public transit.
Delivered in partnership with Bonneville for the modular component, the project combines off-site manufacturing with on-site construction. The installation highlights the teams’ planning and coordination, from design through transportation, lifting and assembly on site.
Design began in August 2024, and project completion is targeted for Spring 2027.
Thank you to the OMHM for its trust, and to the teams at Tisseur, Bonneville and all our project partners for working together to bring these new homes to life.
