The consolidation of the Pfizer Campus involved a complete redevelopment of the facility, which remained in operation throughout the duration of the works: all the buildings that make up the Campus, the main entrance, the parking lots and the secure areas were transformed. Four pavilions in particular have undergone extensive renovation to increase their accommodation capacity.
The 2-storey East Pavilion, which contains the entrance hall and the server room, was completely stripped to its frame for anti-seismic retrofit and a complete redevelopment: the building envelope (walls and roof), the roofing membrane and the interior of the building were totally stripped, except for the conference room on the second floor and the server room on the ground floor. At the heart of the company's Canadian operations, the servers were monitored continuously, and benefited from comprehensive protection measures against weather and fires, and redundant energy support.
Structural additions were made to the Warehouse block to support snow loads and comply with new seismic constraints.
