The Health and Safety Officer, International Division, reports directly to the Project Manager and has the following responsibilities:

  • Identifies the Project Manager's expectations in terms of health, safety and security;
  • Define the themes of the policy with the Project Manager, in collaboration with the Quality and Corporate OHS Director, and set objectives;
  • Manage the project safely, set up the necessary resources (planning, organization, structure, coordination, etc.) and allocate security resources;
  • Define the problems encountered by the company and advise the Project Director on the Safety-Environment quality, the strategy and the action plan to be implemented;
  • Proposes and approves improvements for the documentation system;
  • Ensures the compliance of the management system with the requirements of the reference guide (s), the relevance of the policy and its consistency with the obligations of the group;
  • Assist the Management Committee in defining the training objectives;
  • Organizes the action plan for sustainable development and establishes a development policy in agreement with the team and its obligations;
  • Identifies, describes and analyzes the interfaces between processes;
  • Plans Steering Committees and Management Reviews, sets agendas and chairs meetings;
  • Establishes goals for their own department and defines the contributions and assignments for each member of their team;
  • Ensures that knowledge of the health, safety and security of personnel remains up to date;
  • Establishes objectives for internal audits or suppliers and implements them;
  • Submits Health Audit Schedules to the Project Manager;
  • Supports inspection plans, significant risk trials and verifies them;
  • Validate risk prevention plans, identify nonconformities and propose corrective actions;
  • Validates and inspects the assignment monitoring schedule and defines the targets;
  • Initiates and conducts sporadic visits and site inspections;
  • Directs or supervises site surveys and coordinates company assessments;
  • Validates, decides and organizes the distribution of survey reports to members involved in risk management;
  • Remain ready and on-call for Project Management.
