This project consists in the construction of a new public school for students with developmental, intellectual, auditory or visual impairments that provides specialized educational and rehabilitation services. The building consists of two floors, one including specialized classrooms, bathrooms, an outdoor court and an indoor therapeutic pool, and the other hosting administration, offices and space and equipment for the medical staff. The building is air-conditioned via a geothermal heat exchange system. Before construction, an Environmental Plan was produced, including precise measures and actions to ensure the prevention and management of pollution and of environment and habitat disturbance during construction. The Environmental plan concerns the protection of soils, water, air, and biological and cultural resources. It also includes the management of the visual aesthetics, noise, and solid, chemical, gas and liquid waste as well as other pollutants.
